ADELAIDE CAMERA CLUBNINTH ANNUAL EXHIBITION
The current occasion established an all-time record, four hundred and forty prints being received from eighty-five workers. Three hundred and seventy-eight entries will be hung when the Salon opens on 21st August. It is hoped that the official catalog will be available about a week prior to the opening.
As previously announced, the judges were: Hans Heysen, J.C. Goodchild and A.E. Tulla.

With regard to the last named award, the Committee announces that, while there was no special provision for Club exhibits, a number were received and it was subsequently decided to make available a certificate and this was duly awarded to the Melbourne Camera Club.
In announcing the success of the exhibition to the Press, the President said: “Most photographers with entries in the exhibition had been carrying on since the war began with what materials they had at the outbreak. The public was particularly receptive nowadays to any reminder that behind all the turmoil and chaos of war there still existed a love of the beautiful which always did and always would persistently assert itself”.
