CASTLEMAINE AMATEUR CAMERA CLUB
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Castlemaine Amateur Camera Club was held last night in the School of Mines, when there were about 40 present, including members and those interested in the art of photography. Mr Jeffrey (President of the Bendigo Amateur Photographic Society) gave an evening on "Enlargements". He dealt exhaustively with the subject, illustrating it by enlarging from one of the member's 1/4 plate negatives 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 up to 15 x 12. The result was entirely successful, the audience being very much interested. A discussion followed. At the close Rev. H. Robertson proposed a very hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Jeffrey for coming down at considerable inconvenience to help the local club. Mr. Jeffrey, in replying, thanked the club for its kindness and attention, and hoped it would continue to prosper and do good work.

CASTLEMAINE AMATEUR CAMERA CLUB
At a special meeting of the Castlemaine Amateur Camera Club, held in the lecture hall of the School of Mines on Wednesday, Mr. Edwards, of Bendigo, gave a demonstration on stereoscopic transparencies, which proved very interesting to members, as this is one of the branches of the art that is perhaps the most useful and interesting in photography, and which also requires the greatest care in manipulation, but amply repays the amateur who devotes his time to it. Mr Edwards also brought down a number of his transparencies for members to see, the underground mining pictures taken by flashlight being specially admired. It will be remembered that Mr. Edwards presented the Duke of York, when out here, with a collection of these transparencies. At the close Mr. M'Bean (President), proposed a vote of thanks, which was seconded by Mr. Max Pincus, and carried unanimously, to Mr Edwards for coming such a long distance to help the local club. Notwithstanding the inclement weather there was a full attendance of members.
