COOTAMUNDRA AMATEUR CAMERA CLUB
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Cootamundra Amateur Camera Club was held at Mr. Gormly's residence on Monday night last. Present: Miss Redmond (in the chair), Miss M. McConaghy, and Messrs. S.R. Nixon, J.E. Gormly, W.R. Milligan, F.R. Dicks, M.H. Hughes, and F. Pinkstone jun. An apology was received from Mr. R. Burgess for non-attendance.

The principal business was the appointment of a judge for the photo competition at present being arranged for. On the motion of Messrs. Gormly and Dickson, Mr. S.R. Nixon was appointed to act as judge.

The club decided to have an outing at the Gap and among the hills on Wednesday, 1st May.

Messrs. Gormly, Nixon, and Burgess were appointed as a subcommittee to interview the Show Association, and try and get them to alter the photographic section of their catalog.

The club intends to give some prizes to be competed for at the show this year.

There are a good many entries in for the club's competition. The subject for it is the approach to the local railway station.

After a talk on photographic matters generally the meeting rose.

COOTAMUNDRA AMATEUR CAMERA CLUB
The amateur photographers at Cootamundra have formed a camera club, and it promises to be a great success.

The first monthly competition resulted in a win for the lady president of the club, Miss Redmond, and the win was very popular. Mr. M.S. Hughes secured second prize, and all the unsuccessful competitors have redoubled their energies to secure a prize in the next competition.

The prize list at the forthcoming show has been largely increased, and the formation of the club so far has very much increased the local interest in photography.

JOSEPH E. GORMLY
HON.SECRETARY

COOTAMUNDRA AMATEUR CAMERA CLUB
The usual monthly meeting of the Cootamundra Amateur Camera Club was held at Mr. J.E. Gormly's residence, and the chief item of business was the distribution of prizes won at the recent competitions. The July competition, which was confined to members who had never won a prize, was won by Mr. W.R. Milligan with a pretty little landscape, which showed that the winner is rapidly improving in the art of photography.

The next monthly competition is for a street scene taken in Cootamundra, and a month later the subject will be an "animal study".

Many of the members are busy preparing their exhibits for the forthcoming show and the display of photographs will be a very, large one, seeing that there are twelve prizes to be competed for.
