RAILWAY AND TRAMWAY INSTITUTE CAMERA CLUB (DUBBO BRANCH)
Three meetings were held during May. At one a lecture was delivered by the president, Mr. E. Ramus, on “Photography in General, and Methods Appertaining Thereto”. At another, a demonstration of developing was given, with explanations of processes, by Mr. G. Simpson. At the third “Daylight Enlarging and How it is Done” was explained by Mr. A. Weber.

Mr. D.B. Thompson donated two prizes of half a guinea each for “The Best View of Dubbo”, the awards being: 1st, E. Ramus, Panorama, 30 x 8, on Nepera paper; 2nd, R. England, Panorama, 24 x 6, also on Nepera paper. A second competition was then announced for a prize donated by Mr. Fidler — subject: “Best Child Study”.

On Red Triangle Day the Club members undertook the management of a stall, the prints which were sold being donated by various members, and netting the sum of £10/11/-. The Club will also provide a similar stall at Wongarbon, and have found these displays of unusual value in directing attention to the “Snapshots from Home League”, as prints similar to those supplied to soldiers at the front were shown.
