TASMANIAN AMATEUR MOVIE MAKERS CLUB
At an organizing meeting held at Kodak House, Hobart, on the 27th February, a club was formed by those interested in Amateur Cinematography called the Tasmanian Amateur Movie Makers Club. Such clubs exist in very large numbers throughout the British Empire and the Continent and prove of special benefit to their members. Such a club in Tasmania should be of very material help to the State in so much as it will be recording the many scenic wonders of Tasmania and such records will always be available to the Tourist Department.

A number of extremely interesting films were shown, including "Through Japan, by Mr. T.J. McKinley; "The Epic of Everest”, by Mr. Howard Hadley; "The Cradle Mountain”, by Mr. F.G. Roberts; and a number of standard size films by Mr. J. Raynor.

TASMANIAN AMATEUR MOVIE MAKERS CLUB
A very well-attended meeting of this recently formed club was held on the 7th March. The constitution of the club was framed and passed, and after the usual routine matters were dealt with a number of interesting films were shown which included "Through China and Japan”, by Mr. T. McKinley; a film showing the exceptional opportunities for filming about the Hobart wharves, also by Mr. McKinley; an excellent film of a number of Hobart scenic attractions, by Mr. Leitch; and 400 ft. of Kodacolor shots (in full natural color), by Mr. Abbott. The club is to meet regularly on the first Thursday of each month, and at the next meeting arrangements are being made for an evening on "Titling.

TASMANIAN AMATEUR MOVIE MAKERS CLUB
On the 2nd May a most instructive evening was provided by Mr. J. Burgess Watt on the subject of artificial lighting. A number of demonstration shots were made by members and these will be projected at the next meeting, when Mr. Burgess Watt will continue his lecture on the subject. A very fine film of the Strathaird and the German cruiser was shown by Mr. Frank Rogers, together with films by Mr. Sharp and Mr. P. Abbott, all of which were greatly appreciated.

TASMANIAN AMATEUR MOVIE MAKERS CLUB
The monthly meeting, held on October 9th, was well attended. The evening was given to title making, and experimental titles were shown by the President, Mr. Paul Abbott, and a completely titled film by Mr. B.J. Leitch.

The President demonstrated the "Econasign” writing outfit, making titles for members which were afterwards photographed.

A film shown by Mr. A.G. Ogilive of his trip to India was greatly appreciated.
