THE CHRISTCHURCH Y.M.C.A. CAMERA CLUBThe club has had some instructive lectures at its monthly meetings.
On July 8th Mr. A.C. Hipwell gave an illustrated lecture on “Selection and Art Principles”; on August 12th Mr. Steffano Webb gave a talk on “Exposure and Development” and on September 9th Mr. J. Spiller spoke on “Printing Processes”. Some photographs made in 1878 of old Christchurch and printed on albumen paper were shown, and no signs of deterioration were visible, demonstrating that this old silver print process was a worthy one.
The club, during the summer months, is to hold field outings, the first, on October 8th, to St. Martins, a picturesque spot on the Heathcote River.
