WEST AUSTRALIAN CAMERA CLUB
The first general meeting of The Western Australian Camera Club was held on Wednesday evening in the Art Society's rooms. Colonel George Braithwaite Phillips was voted to the chair and there were present about 30 members. The rules drafted by the committee were adopted and office-bearers were appointed as under: Colonel Phillips, President; Messrs. W.E. Cooke, Hancock and Tilly, Vice-Presidents; Mr W.A. Smyth, Hon.Secretary; Mr Kruger, Hon.Treasurer; Mr Hedderwick, Librarian; and Messrs. Yates, Thomson, Crawford, Pether, May and Duval were elected to the committee. The formal business of the meeting having been disposed of, a pleasant evening was spent in discussing the best ways and means of promoting the objects of the club, a good deal of enthusiasm being displayed. It is intended to hold periodical exhibitions and to give demonstrations in the various processes coming within the range of photography. Those present also agreed to do all in their power to mutually assist each other in photography.

A meeting of the The Western Australian Camera Club was held in the Art Society's studio, Hamburg-chambers on July 27. Colonel Phillips presided. It was decided that the yearly subscription should be — Gentlemen 10s. and ladies 5s. The following gentlemen were elected office bearers for the forthcoming year: President, Colonel George Braithwaite Phillips; Vice-Presidents, Messrs. Cooke, Hancock and Tilly; Hon.Secretary, Mr Smythe; Hon.Treasurer, Mr Kruger; Hon.Librarian, Mr Hedderwick; and committee, Messrs. Thompson, Crawford, Yates, May, Pether and Duval. A general meeting will be held on the first Wednesday in every month.
