THE WARWICK AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
A meeting was held in Mr. A. Chargois' premises, Grafton-street, on Saturday afternoon for the purpose of forming an Amateur Photographic Society, There was a good attendance of local amateurs. Mr. C.B. Astley was voted to the chair, and proceeded to explain the object of the meeting. He dilated on the advantages to be gained from such a society as it was proposed to form, saying that it would be helpful to all concerned, especially in training young members in the proper use of photographic apparatus. Besides this, the club would form friendships between members who had not hitherto known each other, and would aid materially in the promotion of a spirit of comradeship between local amateurs.

The election of officers was then made, resulting on follows: President, Mr. C.C. Dornbusch; Vice-President Mr. C.A. Lambert; Hon.Secretary, Mr. C.B. Astley; Treasurer, Mr. T. Amies; Librarian, Mr. A. Chargois.

After some discussion it was decided that the society should be known as The Warwick Amateur Photographic Society, and it was arranged to have a monthly subscription of 1s per member, with the proceeds of which subscription books and apparatus for the use of all members will be purchased. For the present the society will meet on the evenings of the first and third Tuesday in each mouth, Mr. Chargois having kindly lent his rooms for the purpose, and will hold outings as often as possible.

Six members of the society held an outing to Bald Mountain yesterday, and a very enjoyable time was spent. An outing along the banks of the river will be held on Saturday afternoon next, and the second meeting will take place on Tuesday evening, September 1, when it is hoped that members who were unable to attend on Saturday will be present. So far there is a good number of members, but more are desired, and those intending to join are requested to give their names in to Mr. Chargois or the secretary.

The second outing of the The Warwick Amateur Photographic Society took place on Saturday afternoon, when, despite somewhat unfavorable weather conditions, a pleasant time was spent, seven members being present. Several views of the river in the vicinity of the showground were taken; after which the "billy" was boiled and the ladies of the party presided at an al fresco "four o'clock". The next outing will take place on Saturday afternoon.
