Jennifer Davidson AFIAP

Jennifer lives in Orange in Central Western New South Wales Australia. Jennifer has been interested in photography for many years but only became actively involved when she semi retired from teaching Information Technology and found that her training in computers and love of photography came together just as digital photography started to 'take off'. Jennifer currently teaches Photoshop and other image editing software.
Jennifer lectures with demonstrations to camera clubs in the western area. Jennifer is currently the Vice President of the Orange Camera Club after having been Secretary for a number of years. Jennifer is also secretary of the APPS and writes regular articles for their publication 'The Lens'. Although she works a lot with digital files she prefers printed output and prints all of her own images.

Ray Douglas Experienced Photographer

Ray started developing and printing his own Black and White images nearly 35 years ago; it always gave me a thrill to see the image emerge from the developer.
In 2006 Ray joined the Upper Blue Mountains Camera Club and has the privilege of being the President since 2008, in that time he has fully embraced the digital age, with numerous acceptances at International level.
2012 attended and completed the Federation of Camera Clubs NSW judge's course.
Ray has always had a passion for Black and White photography and is willing to pass on his knowledge and experience.

Ray Faggotter EFIAP, MAPS, ESAPS

Ray's interest in photography goes back 50 years. He has embraced all aspects from slides to darkroom printing including Sabatier Effect and mastery of lesser visited techniques such as the art of the cyanotype. He also enjoys the challenges now presented by a digital world.
Ray would be one of few people to make the Australian Photographic Society - Who's Who listing in all slide categories in the same year. However, his special interests include Nature and Creative Photography, the latter for which he was awarded the Les Newcomb Trophy for Creative Photography. His LAPS was awarded solely on the basis of exhibition success with Nature slides. From there he went on to become the first awardee of the MAPS and remained the only one for 12 years.
Ray is a naturalist, with a science graduate background. His interest in Nature Photography goes beyond just feathers and fur. He also has interests in geology, astronomy, meteorology, physics and chemistry and is always on the lookout for creative ways to capture these aspects of nature in a camera.
Judging experience ranges from club level through National to International exhibitions. Ray has been a guest presenter across Australia and as far afield as Africa and Canada.

Ray Finneran AAPS

My journey into photography, like many, started in my early years with a simple box camera. It wasn't until my twenties that I developed a passion for producing fine art monochrome photographs, which has continued for more than 40 years.
I find it fascinating to look at and interpret the structures that man has built over the years which provided shelter for both family and work. Many of these structures still contain items and features that give us a glimmer of the past and have formed the basis of some of the work in this exhibition. Much as the clay is for the potter.
Expressive elements are often achieved in my photographs by isolating and emphasising a smaller detail within the whole.
A large percentage of my work is taken when out with photography friends sometimes a day trip around Sydney or a longer journey to a more distant place. I value this friendship enormously and while we travel together, upon reaching a location we generally find our own tripod holes and put an individual interpretation on the subject matter.
A wise person once said; "it's not the destination, it's the journey", how true.

Peter Hammer FAPS

Peter lives in Melbourne and has been involved with photography virtually all his life. Inspired by his mother who was an industrial chemist and amateur photographer, Peter started out in his pre-teens with 35mm monochrome. He did all his own processing and darkroom work and then progressed to working with Agfa colour slide film.
Peter switched to digital in 2005 and then joined a camera club and has since been actively involved in both national and international competitions where he has had hundreds of international acceptances and a number of awards although a silver medal still eludes him and would look nice together with the collection of gold and bronze medals he has won. He tends to enter mainly international competitions these days.
Peter is a keen traveller, especially to places a bit off the beaten track, and a lot of his images involve travel photography, usually associated with landscapes, nature and people. Not content with that Peter also does a lot of creative work on images and about 30% of his international awards come from creative and experimental images.

George Hardy AFIAP, EMFCC, FCC ESA

George has been interested in photography since 1950, over this time he has processed all aspects of his prints, slides and digital photography.
Main interest is in Nature and Wildlife photography.
Since 2005 has been the Vice President of the The Entrance Camera Club.
He has received several awards in Club, National and International competitions.
George was proud when he attained his first Federation International De L'Art Photographique gold medal in the 1998 Sydney International Exhibition of Photography.
He judges at Club, National and International levels.
2005 to 2013 was Committee member of the Maitland International Salon of Photography.
2004 awarded a Life Membership of the The Entrance Camera Club

Eric Lippey FAPS

Eric Lippey is an experienced photographer and an early adopter of digital techniques over a ten year period, especially in travel, nature and portrait photography.
2011 was one of the International speakers at the South African Photography Society annual convention.
Member of Photographic Society of America and Australian Photographic Society.

Janie News AFIAP, FAPS

For eleven years Janie owned and designed a range of Australian-made native animal soft toys called Jozzies. When Jozzies was sold she learned Photoshop and became a graphic designer. She joined Central Coast Leagues Club Camera Club in 2004 where photography became her creative outlet. Her manipulation of photographs was something very new in those days. The Creative genre remains her favourite style of photography.
Janie started judging in 2006 and became a FCC judge in 2007. She has judged at national and international level and enjoys the challenge of entering international salons.
Janie now writes articles for magazines, teaches Photoshop privately and actively participates in two camera clubs: Castle Hill RSL Photography Club and North Sydney Leagues Photographic Society.

Patricia Stephens AAPS

Patricia lives at Weston in New South Wales. She received a Brownie Box camera when she was twelve, which started her interest in photography.
Patricia's main interest is nature photography. In 2005 Patricia and her husband Robert joined the Maitland Camera Club. Patricia is also a member of Maitland International Salon of Photography.
In 2006 I started entering National and International competitions with the aim to gain Australian Photographic Society honours. I have received many awards at National and International level.
