      Susan Buchanan

Susan discovered photography a little over 10 years ago when a family holiday to Fraser Island failed to produce a single good photograph. Of course, she blamed her equipment and a spark of interest was stuck that just grew and grew. Each exposure to a different facet of photography from darkroom techniques to the latest off camera flash imagery has proven to be intriguing and an endless source of joy and preoccupation.

Along the way she has been involved with Northside Creative Photography Club and was the President from November 2003 to November 2013. She has been judging for clubs both in Sydney and country NSW.

A member of the Australian Photographic Society, Susan is most proud of the work that has been produced through the portfolio process that she instigated at the Club. Consequently, Susan has lectured widely about this process. Photography is now a major source of inspiration in her life and she manages to produce some wonderful images for which she takes full credit.

    Tony Parkes AFIAP, FAPS

Tony first developed his love of photography after being rendered a Quadriplegic that confined him to a wheelchair, 35 years ago. Twenty five years ago he discovered another side of photography, National and International Exhibitions which appealed to his competitive nature. He discovered achieving success at these exhibitions was not easy but this made him work harder on his photography skills. His effort was rewarded when he was asked to judge his first National Exhibition in 1990. He has since judged many National and International Exhibitions.

Tony has a main photographic interest in Photo Journalism especially sports photography but his true passion is photographing birds in their natural environment, which can be very challenging and he has achieved success in both the Sport and Wildlife categories. For many years he has entered National and International Exhibitions and gained many awards. During this period he was very prominent in Australian Photography either by winning categories or being well placed behind some brilliant Australian bird Photographers who were the best in Australia and Internationally.
